Web Designer
MocoSpace is looking for an experienced and creative Web Designer for our Web and mobile social networking sites. You will play a key role in owning and delivering the UI and design of our site and will be working directly with the VP Products, CTO and engineering team. Responsibilities
- Design and implement mobile and Web UI using XHTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Work with engineers to integrate UI code with JavaServer Pages based application logic
- Create wireframes,mockups and/or prototypes as well as graphics for new features
- Assist with usability and user experience studies
Requirements
- 5+ years of working experience with Web technologies and visual design
- Expert knowledge of XHTML, XHTML-MP, CSS, JS and various JavaScript libraries (jQuery preferred)
- Proficient with graphics tools (PhotoShop, Illustrator,etc) and ability to create comps
- Knowledge of JavaServer Pages or other Web presentation layer languages
- Exposure to social networking technologies (OpenSocial, Facebook platform, Twitter, etc) a plus
- Must have previous experience working at start-ups using agile methodologies
- SQL/relational database knowledge a plus
- Degree in graphic design, computer science or related field is preferred

Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or related field, and/or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of working experience with Web technologies
- Expert knowledge of XHTML, XHTML-MP, CSS, DOM and JavaScript (jQuery preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Java and JavaServer Pages
- Strong sense of interface design for usability and great user experience
- Thorough understanding of cross-platform browser compliance
- Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL
- Knowledge of mobile (XHTML-MP, iPhone, etc) and/or social networking (OpenSocial, Facebook platform, etc) technologies a plus
- Previous startup experience preferred

Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Creativity, enthusiasm, and willingness & ability to learn new things every day
- Extensive experience in software analysis, design and development including Web application development and highly scalable server applications
- Java J2EE development experience (JSP, Servlets, JDBC, JMS, Web services) creating high volume, massively scalable, fault tolerant and highly available applications
- Excellent SQL knowledge
- Strong command of Linux
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills

Requirements
- 5+ years experience supporting Linux systems in high volume, critical production service environments
- Experience implementing scalable network, database, and storage architectures
- Efficient writing scripts to automate tasks and monitor systems
- Solid knowledge of advanced networking topics including isolating, diagnosing, and resolving issues with service delivery components and network devices (servers, routers, switches, bridges, firewalls, hardware load balancers)
- Thorough knowledge of Web and mail server administration & tuning
- High-availability network monitoring, e.g. SNMP, Nagios, Cacti
- Excellent SQL knowledge and database skills
- Familiarity with content caching, content distribution, and distributed data caching
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues under pressure
- Previous startup experience preferred
